Ticklyst

Terms of service

Last updated · 19 May 2026

TL;DR

By using Ticklyst you agree to these terms. Short version: be 13 or over, look after your account, don't break the law or hassle other people, and we'll do our best to keep Ticklyst running. We can't promise 100% uptime, we can suspend accounts that abuse the service, and you can delete yours any time. We're not liable for what you do with what you take away. Anything we missed — email ticklyst@outlook.com.

01What Ticklyst is

Ticklyst is an iPhone shopping-list app built and run by Mykaah Studioin the United Kingdom. It auto-sorts your grocery items by aisle, reorders to match supermarket layouts, and syncs lists with people you live with. This page sets out the agreement between you ( “you”) and us (“Mykaah Studio”, “we”, “us”) when you use the app.

02Your account

You need to be at least 13 years old to use Ticklyst. You're responsible for keeping your password safe — or, if you sign in with Apple or Google, for keeping your provider account secure. You're also responsible for activity that happens under your account.

If you think someone else has accessed your account, email us straight away and we'll help you secure it.

03Your content

Lists, items, notes, categories you create — they're yours. We don't claim ownership. To run the service we need a limited, non-exclusive operational licence to host, sync, and display your content on your devices and on the devices of people you've shared lists with. That licence ends the moment you delete the content or your account.

We don't show advertising in Ticklyst, ever. We don't sell your content or your data. The full breakdown of what we collect and why is in our privacy policy.

04Sharing lists

When you share a list with someone, every member of that list can see everything in it: items, quantities, notes, who added what, and members' display names and email addresses. Anyone with edit access can add or change items.

If you remove someone from a list, they lose access immediately. If you delete your account, shared lists you own are transferred to another member so their work survives.

05Acceptable use

Don't use Ticklyst to:

  • break any law that applies to you;
  • harass, abuse, threaten, or impersonate anyone;
  • spam other users or send unwanted invites;
  • reverse-engineer the app, scrape data, or attempt to extract information you don't have permission to access;
  • attempt to circumvent our security or another user's permissions;
  • upload viruses or malicious code;
  • share any content you don't have the right to share.

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

06Service availability

Ticklyst is provided “as is”. We do our best to keep it running smoothly and patch problems quickly, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Things will occasionally break, especially during updates and migrations. We'll fix them as fast as we can.

07Cost

Ticklyst is free to download and use today. Some future features may be paid — if we add any, we'll make the cost and what's covered clear before you sign up, and any paid features will be optional. The current core experience — auto-sort, store-aware reordering, shared lists — will remain free.

08Termination

You can delete your account any time inside the app — Account → Delete account. That removes your account, your private lists, and your data from our servers. Shared lists you own are handed off to another member so their work survives.

We can suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if your account has been inactive for an extended period, or if we're required to by law. We'll usually give notice unless doing so would cause harm or breach a legal duty on our part.

09Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ticklyst is provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any errors will be corrected.

10Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mykaah Studio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Ticklyst. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you've paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) £50.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that can't lawfully be excluded under UK law.

11Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally — to clarify language, to reflect new features, or to comply with changing law. When we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, surface a notice inside the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12Third-party services

Ticklyst uses third-party services to run. Your use of the app is also subject to their terms:

Privacy policies for each of these are linked from our privacy policy.

13Apple App Store EULA

If you downloaded Ticklyst from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies to your use. In the event of any conflict between these terms and Apple's EULA, Apple's EULA governs the limited matters it covers. Mykaah Studio (not Apple) is solely responsible for Ticklyst and for any claims relating to it.

14Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except that if you're a consumer based elsewhere in the UK, you may have rights to bring proceedings in your local courts under your local consumer protection law.
